Banja Foundation is a Non-Profit Charity Organization that was Created in Memory of Abubakarr “Banja” Kebbay.
Banja was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He lived there until age 10 before moving to Maryland. Banja went to the following elementary and middle schools:
During his elementary school and middle school years, Banja won many academic achievement awards and played a variety of sports, but his favorite sport was basketball.
Banja went to Richard Montgomery High School. While in high school, Banja worked very hard and won many awards for both his academic performance and extracurricular activities.
As the Vice President of the Minority Scholars Program, Banja was nominated for the “Recognizing King’s Legacy Award” for Planning and Implementing the Gators Mentoring Program, which provided mentorship to 4th Graders at College Gardens Elementary School.
He also played for the high school football team, “Rockets”. Banja graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in June 2021 and went on to Stern Business School, New York University to pursue a business degree and become a Financial Analyst on Wall Street.
In addition to this, he also had plans to educate young people in his community on safe and less risky investments in the stock exchange market and wealth creation.
Banja was an active studious young man who loved:

Kayaking
Charity
Above all, Banja was passionate about helping those less fortunate than himself. Banja had plans of pursuing charities to mentor and provide school supplies to elementary and middle school-aged children as well as helping the homeless population. Banja unfortunately passed away and was unable to fulfill his dreams of pursing these charities. Our mission is to help Banja fulfill his dream of helping those in need.
